Liverpool Transfer News: £40m Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain deal agreed, medical this evening
Arsenal agreed a deal to sell Oxlade-Chamberlain to Chelsea on Tuesday but the England international turned down a move to Stamford Bridge. The midfielder's preference was to join Liverpool and he has got his wish after Arsenal decided to cash on the 24-year-old, who has refused to sign a new contract. Oxlade-Chamberlain will undergo a medical at St George's Park this evening as he is with the England squad. It emerged that the deal was imminent when Colossal Sports Management, who represents a host of players including Oxlade-Chamberlain, Raheem Sterling and Saido Berahino tweeted: “DEAL AGREED!!!! #LIVERPOOL #YNWA #COLOSSAL @LFC.” PA
