Arsene Wenger branded Raheem Sterling a diver after the winger won his side a penalty
The Gunners manager claimed the England winger ‘dives very well’ after he won a second-half penalty in City’s 3-1 win at the Etihad on Sunday, even though former referee Dermot Galllagher and a host of TV pundits believe referee Michael Oliver was right to penalise Nacho Monreal’s clumsy challenge. Alan Shearer said Wenger owed Sterling an apology and it is understood that City were dismayed by Wenger’s outburst against a player he wanted to sign in exchange for Alexis Sanchez in August, when Pep Guardiola made a £60million bid for the unsettled Gunners...
