Roy Hodgson: Crystal Palace avoided 'an avalanche' with second-half display
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has admitted that his side were "staring down the barrel of the gun" when trailing Arsenal by four goals at half time on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles conceded all four goals in the opening quarter of the match, completely falling apart as Nacho Monreal, Alex Iwobi, Laurent Koscielny and Alexandre Lacazette all found a way through. Palace did restore just a little pride after the restart at the Emirates Stadium, however, scoring the only goal of the second half through a Luka Milivojevic strike to offer Hodgson some encouragement.
