Wenger on Aubameyang: Arsenal deal not close
Arsene Wenger has poured cold water on suggestions that a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is close to completion. Various reports have claimed that Arsenal have had a £45m offer turned down for the Borussia Dortmund striker, with the German club holding out for £60m. There have been suggestions that a deal cannot be done without Olivier Giroud going the other way, and now Wenger has intimated that the deal is only one of several that could be completed by Arsenal this January.
