Alan Pardew: 'Jonny Evans available to purchase for right price'
West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Pardew has reiterated that his side are prepared to sell defender Jonny Evans this month "if the price is right". The Northern Ireland international has been a rumoured target for Manchester City and Arsenal since the summer window due to his consistent form at the back. Evans's valuation has put off both clubs in the past, but reports this week suggested that Albion were close to agreeing a player-plus-cash deal with the Gunners that would see Mathieu Debuchy swap sides. Asked about the latest rumour, Pardew told reporters at his weekly press conference: "That's not a deal that's been put to us... someone has released that and it's not true....
