Paul Merson blasts Arsenal following EFL Cup defeat
Former Arsenal forward Paul Merson has accused the Gunners of treating Sunday's EFL Cup final against Manchester City as "a testimonial". Sergio Aguero sent City into an 18th-minute lead at Wembley, before Vincent Kompany and David Silva scored in the second period as Pep Guardiola's side recorded a 3-0 success to claim the trophy. Merson claimed that Arsenal "are the worst team in the country without the ball" as he blasted his former team on the radio. "One team was playing in a cup final, the other team looked like they were playing a testimonial.
