Arsenal news: Arsene Wenger makes significant Europa League admission
Arsenal are 13 points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham with nine leagues to go. The Gunners have a favourable run-in but face a mammoth task to catch up given their poor form, which has seen them win just two league games in 2018. On Sunday, Arsenal suffered their fourth defeat in five games in all competitions when they were beaten 2-1 by Brighton. After the match, Wenger said his players were struggling for confidence and speaking ahead of Thursday’s last-16 clash with AC Milan, he admitted Arsenal’s season depends on winning the Europa League and subsequently qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
