Arsenal FC transfer news: Gunners target £30m-rated Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu
Arsenal are considering a move for £30 million-rated defender Caglar Soyuncu, according to reports. The Gunners are no longer the defensively sound unit they once were under Arsene Wenger, and are set to lose Per Mertesacker in the summer – with the German taking over the club’s academy. The 21-year-old Freiburg man is seen as the long-term solution to the Gunners’ defensive woes. According to The Sun, Soyuncu has also caught the eye of scouts from Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Roma.
