'Santi is a special player and special person'
It's a sad day for the club as Santi Cazorla waves goodbye after a six years with us - and Nacho Monreal will feel his exit more than most. The Spain internationals formed a close bond, and the left-back says he has been in touch with his good friend throughout his fight to return to full fitness over the past year. "It has been really difficult because Santi is one of the best players for Arsenal," Monreal told Arsenal Player. "We miss him on the pitch and outside the pitch. You can’t imagine how important he is, every day members of staff, team-mates ask me about him so we have missed him a lot.
