Arsenal reach £16m Sokratis agreement… but announcement to be DELAYED ARSENAL have reached a £16m agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the signing of Sokratis Papastathopoulos. By Jack Staplehurst / Published 8th June 2018 But an announcement over his transfer to the Emirates is not expected until as late as July. Unai Emery’s side have already sealed and confirmed the arrival of Stephan Lichsteiner from Juventus on a free. The 34-year-old has been brought in to offer experience to Arsenal’s vulnerable backline.
