The Ozil conundrum. The spirit of ‘89 is needed..
Morning all. Half way through the season and apart from an odd few games, our level of football isn’t really improving. We’re inconsistent that’s for sure but then we expected it to be like this didn’t we? We lacked tempo yesterday and width and energy. Too many roast potatoes perhaps or just Boxing Day blues. Or we are what we are as a team/squad. I thought what Alex Scott said after the game made a lot of sense. Include Mesut Ozil and you lose a hard working player. Remove Mesut Ozil and the team loses creativity. I never really thought about it like that before but in truth, his creative play hasn’t been consistent in any case.
