‘I never got told off for soaking Arsene!’
After completing a brilliant comeback to beat Hull in the 2014 Emirates FA Cup final, Lukas Podolski capped off the day by pouring champagne all over Arsene Wenger. Speaking on our In Lockdown podcast, the German spoke about how it feels to win the oldest competition in football -- and what the boss said about his celebrations.
"It was a huge game," Podolski said. "It was nine years without winning a trophy and then we get to Wembley, to the final against Hull and everyone before the game said, 'This is going to be an easy win for Arsenal' but the game was hard for every one of us, in the end we did it.
