Arsenal showing 'most interest' in Philippe Coutinho transfer alternative
Arsenal are leading the chase for Real Madrid outcast James Rodriguez as Mikel Arteta looks for alternatives to Philippe Coutinho. Reports emerged yesterday that the Gunners held talks with Coutinho at London Colney but his £240,000-per-week wages present a problem in negotiating a load deal with Barcelona. So Arsenal have turned their attention to Rodriguez and are keen to snap up the Colombian ace after it emerged his Los Blancos career was over. The 29-year-old is surplus to requirements under boss Zinedine Zidane at the Santiago Bernabeu, having made just 14 appearances in all competitions this season and scoring only once.
