Positive Gabriel Magalhaes to Arsenal transfer update provided by Mikel Arteta
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has offered an update on the club's move for Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes, admitting he is 'pretty positive' they can get the deal over the line. The Brazilian has agreed a five-year deal with Arsenal and the Gunners will fork out £27m to prise him away from Lille. Speaking at a press conference ahead of the Community Shield clash with Liverpool, Arteta said: 'Regarding Gabriel, we cannot announce anything yet, the deal is not finalised - you all know he is a player that we have followed for a long time and hopefully we can get it done.
