Arsenal identify Thomas Partey transfer alternative after Atletico Madrid woes
Arsenal are reportedly making enquiries about Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara after becoming impatient in their pursuit of Thomas Partey. The Gunners have been in talks with Atletico Madrid about a deal to sign Partey for most of the summer but have so far failed to agree a fee. The Ghana international has a £45million release clause in his contract but the Premier League side are unwilling to stump up that much for him. Mikel Arteta is a big fan of the midfield general but knows time is running out if he is to get his man ahead of preparations for the new season.
