Saint-Etienne upset with Arsenal over failed Willian Saliba transfer

Saint-Etienne have accused Arsenal of deliberately scuppering William Saliba's move back to the Geoffrey Stadium. Arsenal signed the 19-year-old centre-back from the Ligue 1 side last summer but loaned him back to Les Verts for the duration of the 2019-20 season. The France Under-20 international was expected to be handed a place in Arsenal's starting XI upon his return but has yet to feature for the north Londoners this season. And just a matter of hours after the closure of the international transfer window, Saint-Etienne have claimed they were meant to reacquire the defender's services - insisting the deal collapsed because Arsenal failed to meet the 'administrative conditions' in time....
