Barcelona eye January move for Arsenal's Shkodran Mustafi?
Barcelona could attempt to make a shock swoop for out-of-favour Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi during the January transfer window, according to a report. The 28-year-old's turbulent time at the Emirates could soon be nearing an end, with Mustafi in the final year of his Arsenal contract and seemingly nowhere close to agreeing an extension. The centre-back's father recently claimed that Mustafi could seek pastures new after falling out of favour under Mikel Arteta, with David Luiz, Rob Holding and Gabriel Magalhaes all preferred despite promising early signs for Mustafi after Arteta's arrival.
