Dennis Bergkamp's son completes Arsenal trial as contract decision made
Arsenal have opted not to offer Mitchel Bergkamp a deal at the Emirates. The son of Gunners and Netherlands legend Dennis, 22, underwent a week-long trial with the north Londoners. However, Mitchel - who was released by Almere City in June - failed to make a lasting impression and was thus not offered a deal from his father's former club. Arsenal's decision not to offer Mitchel a contract has ended hopes of the attacking midfielder following in his father's footsteps. Despite the Gunners deciding against adding him to their books, Mitchel will likely still hold the current FA Cup winners close to his heart.
