Inside Edu's Martin Odegaard charm offensive as Arsenal star weighs in
Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the signing of Martin Odegaard on loan from Real Madrid. According to Football.London, the Norwegian youngster, 22, is set to choose the Gunners over Real Sociedad as he eyes a temporary move in search of regular first-team football. Odegaard told Real Madrid last week he wanted to leave the club after finding opportunities hard to come by under Zinedine Zidane. That prompted Arsenal to launch a charm offensive with transfer chief Edu reportedly leading talks with Odegaard's father, Hans, and agent Bjorn Tore Kvarme. Dani Ceballos, also on loan at the Gunners from Real Madrid, also weighed in to help convince Odegaard to make the move to North London....
