A missed opportunity.
Morning all. A disappointment to say the least. Out of the FA Cup so we’re now relying on our League performances to get us into Europe, or the Europa Cup. Ralf Hasenhuttl took the game seriously by fielding probably his strongest side, Mikel Arteta however decided that this was the game to rest a few of our key players. Aubameyang was missing for personal reasons, ESR and Tierney were left at home with Saka, Lacazette and Partey on the bench. The decision backfired. The players he brought into the team weren’t able to match the performance of those they replaced. Pepe, Willian, Cedric at left back, Xhaka, Eddie and Elneny – all disappointing.
