Mikel Arteta convinced Martin Odegaard that Arsenal move suited ex-wonderkid
Martin Odegaard has spoken about how Mikel Arteta convinced him that a move to Arsenal is the right one. Odegaard has joined the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid for the rest of the season, bringing some creativity to north London. Plenty was expected of the Norwegian midfielder, who made his international debut at the age of 15. Though he is yet to live up to his potential, making just eight La Liga appearances for Real Madrid since signing in 2015. The loan to Arsenal is his fourth in as many years, though the 22-year-old can’t wait to get going under Arteta.
