Arsenal fans applaud £550k-a-week saving in boost summer transfer budget
Arsenal fans are expecting a large investment in the summer following a series of outgoing deals. Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu have overseen a recent exodus which has been a huge boost to the wage budget at the Emirates going forward. As well as the club’s highest earner Mesut Ozil, both Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos have left the club to join Schalke and Olympiacos respectively. While the new Fenerbahce star was on reported wages of £350,000-per-week, Mustafi was said to be earning £90,000-per-week, with Sokratis on £92,000-per-week - totalling £532,000.
