Internationals: Trio qualify for AFCON 2021
Congratulations to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mohamed Elneny and Thomas Party whose countries have all qualified for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. Aubameyang claimed a goal and an assist as he captained Gabon to a 3-0 win over DR Congo on Thursday evening, while Elneny was an unused substitute in Egypt's 1-1 draw with Kenya.
Our duo will decide whether their countries go through as group winners on Monday, when Gabon head to Angola and Egypt face Comoros.
After missing Ghana's 1-1 draw with South Africa, Partey is now available for the Black Stars' final group game against Sao Tome and Principe on Sunday.
Granit Xhaka and Kieran Tierney were also in senior international action...
