Arsenal submit £28.5m bid for powerful defensive midfielder
Arsenal look set to rekindle our interest in Portugal's William Carvalho after his stunning display against England's U21 side reminded many of his mature qualities, The Sun reports. The report suggests that since Carvalho has a £37million release clause in his contract, we've tabled a £28.5m offer and hope that future add-ons will convince Sporting Lisbon to sell. Carvalho, 23, was heavily linked with us last summer and The Sun indicate that we've already had a £20m offer rejected by the Portuguese giants.
