The Aubameyang v Lacazette conundrum, who is best for Arsenal?
By Devilgunner. I always had the nagging feeling that Auba wasn’t suited to the Arsenal style. But even though the evidence of those simple stats is telling, I was still shocked to see the high percentage of points the team got when Auba wasn’t involved and when Laca played. As a coach I prefer to play with the Laca/Giroud style in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Had I been Arsenal coach Auba would not have got near the club let alone the team because he cannot play in this setup. Not even when I played a 3-4-2-1/3-4-3 formation would he have fitted in. However it’s all a matter of opinion and whatever formation one uses. I feel though, that Lacazette is more suited to the tiki-taka style...
