Nuno Tavares set for Arsenal medical?
Benfica left-back Nuno Tavares is reportedly close to becoming Mikel Arteta's first summer signing at Arsenal. An agreement has been reached between both clubs for the 21-year-old to move to north London for a fee in the region of £7m, with a further £1.5m in add-ons. According to Goal, Tavares is now set to undergo a medical with the Gunners before the deal can be finalised and announced in the coming days. Tavares is set to provide competition at left-back for Kieran Tierney, who recently signed a new five-year deal to stay with the club.
