Southgate consoles Saka in tear-jerking photo after England penalty heartache
Gareth Southgate was quick to show his support to Bukayo Saka after his missed penalty saw England's Euro 2020 journey come to an end in cruel fashion. The Three Lions enjoyed the perfect start to the final at Wembley and took the lead against Italy inside two minutes, Luke Shaw firing the team in front. But Roberto Mancini's side began to take control of the contest after half-time and forced extra-time after Leonardo Bouncci scrambled home from close range in the second half. England went on to lose on penalties, with misses from Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka proving costly.
