Arsenal forced to pay 1million as part of contract clause on back of defeat to Brentford

Arsenal got off to the worst possible start after they lost 2-0 away to Premier League newboys Brentford. The Gunners came into the contest with new hope having secured the £50 million signing of Ben White, only for it to be completely dashed by Thomas Frank's savvy Bees side.
