Arsenal complete £17m Takehiro Tomiyasu signing in last-minute Deadline Day deal
Takehiro Tomiyasu has signed for Arsenal from Bologna in a deal worth an initial £17m. The 22-year-old Japan international has signed a long-term contract with the Gunners and will wear the No.18 shirt. Following Hector Bellerin's departure for Real Betis on a loan, Arsenal have moved quickly to replace the right-back. Mikel Arteta felt he needed to further strengthen his defence following their 5-0 mauling at Manchester City on Saturday.
