Arsenal Happy To Pass On Southampton Midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin
It has been reported that Arsenal are happy to pass on Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin. The Daily Star Sunday says the France midfielder, 25, is set to have his £25m move to Manchester United announced next week. He's agreed a four-year contract with the Old Trafford giants and arrives to add power to their midfield. Arsenal pondered giving him a chance to do just that but they ditched their interest over the Saints' high demands. While Arsene Wenger has cash to splash this summer, the £25m fee was deemed too steep. The emergence of Francis Coquelin, 24, also convinced the Gunners boss he didn't need to stump up huge cash.
