WHAT HAPPENED Vivianne Miedema was on target as we booked our place in the last-16 of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup with a 1-0 victory over London City Lionesses on Sunday. Despite having a number of key players unavailable for selection, Jonas Eidevall named a strong starting XI with four promising academy talents on the bench. As expected, we dominated possession from the off and Nikita Parris had two early chances, first firing over the bar from Miedema’s delivery, before forcing Shae Yanez into a difficult low save.
