Inside how Premier League transfer deal sheet works and whether teams can get extension

The Premier League offers a degree of leniency when it comes to transfer deadline day. As clubs scrabble on the final day to try and get their deals over the line before 11pm, the league offers a ‘deal sheet’ which allows for more time to get the deal done. If a club has concluded a deal for a player at the last minute they can use this sheet to get additional time to fulfil the remaining documentation.
