William Saliba edges closer to Arsenal exit without an appearance after France debut

William Saliba could be edging closer to a permanent exit from Arsenal after he was hailed by Marseille fans on his France debut. The 21-year-old was farmed out by the Gunners on loan to the French side this term, and has impressed enough to muscle his way into Didier Deschamps' international plans. After being drafted into the squad, Saliba made his international bow in the Stade Velodrome - the home of his current club. The popular defender was given a hero's welcome when he was introduced in the second half by Deschamps - and with Saliba's future at Arsenal uncertain, his strong rapport with Marseille fans could woo him into staying in France on a long-term basis.
