Arsenal prepared to submit bid for prolific Real Madrid hitman
Arsenal are making headway in their attempts to land Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, according to Metro. Benzema’s Bernabeu future is believed to be ‘up in the air’, with new Los Blancos boss Rafael Benitez keen on deploying Cristiano Ronaldo as the club’s main striker next season. Several top European teams have been alerted to Benzema’s situation at Madrid, including the Gunners who are keen on bringing him to the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is understood to be a huge admirer of Benzema and is very interested in landing his compatriot.
