Arsenal fan Lewis Hamilton confirms position in Chelsea takeover consortium
Formula 1 superstar Lewis Hamilton has confirmed his position as part of a consortium looking to takeover Chelsea - despite being an Arsenal fan since his childhood. Chelsea are on the market following sanctions issued to owner Roman Abramovich, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Former Liverpool chairman Sir Martin Broughton is leading the consortium, which also includes tennis icon Serena Williams, and Hamilton is reported to have committed £10m to the bid. Abramovich has put the Champions League holders up for sale and Broughton's consortium are one of three remaining suitors in the hunt for the west London side.
