Danny Welbeck to miss Arsenal preseason tour with knee injury
The N FC panel debate whether or not Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez needs time off following a competitive summer. Danny Welbeck will miss Arsenal's trip to Singapore to the Barclays Asia Trophy with a knee injury. But new signing Petr Cech could make his debut for the Gunners, who face a Singapore Select XI and then either Everton or Stoke next week. Former Manchester United striker Welbeck has still not recovered from the bruising to the bone on his knee that forced him to miss Arsenal's FA Cup win over Aston Villa, their final league matches and England's summer internationals against Republic of Ireland and Slovenia.
