The 19-year-old was the star as the Gunners beat a Singapore Select XI 4-0 and set up a match against Everton on Saturday afternoon. Akpom has had unsuccessful loan spells at Brentford, Coventry City and Nottingham Forest and faces strong competition at Arsenal from the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck.
