Arsenal tie first-team star to new contract
Arsenal have confirmed that key defender Hector Bellerin has signed a new long-term contract with the North London side, as per their official website. The Spanish right-back broke into Arsene Wenger’s first team last season and impressed the Emirates Stadium faithful with his turns of pace and willingness to get forward. The 20-year-old’s performances were so consistent that he is now viewed as first choice in the full-back role ahead of Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers.
