Wojciech Szczesny closing in on Roma loan switch
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has agreed personal terms with Roma ahead of sealing a season-long loan move, according to reports. The 25-year-old has fallen out of favour at the Emirates Stadium, with the recent arrival of Petr Cech pushing him further down the pecking order. It had previously been suggested that a permanent deal for the Poland shot-stopper could be on the cards, but according to the Daily Mail both Szczesny and Arsenal prefer a short-team departure. Roma will reportedly have to pay an initial £250,000 to land the former Gunners No.1, but the final details of the full loan fee are still be ironed out.
