Arsenal striker Joel Campbell set to agree season-long loan with Palermo
Arsenal forward Joel Campbell is on the verge of joining Palermo on a season-long loan deal. Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport understands the 23-year-old will join the Serie A side for the coming season in the hope he will gain regular first-team football. The Costa Rica international and his agent are due to meet with Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini in London this week to thrash out the terms of the arrangement, with Arsenal willing to release the striker. Campbell spent the majority of last season on loan at Villarreal and has struggled to break through into Arsene Wenger's side since moving to the Emirates in 2011.
