Reports – Nacho Monreal to extend Arsenal stay
Nacho Monreal is ready to extend his contract with Arsenal, according to reports in Spain. The Gunners announced new deals for Santi Cazorla and Theo Walcott on Friday, and the left-back is now set to join them. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Spaniard will see his wage increase to £75,000-a-week and has verbally agreed the terms on a new contract till 2017. There had been interest from clubs in Spain, including Athletic Bilbao, who were ready to pay around £7m. But Monreal looks set to end any speculation he will leave the Emirates by penning an extension in the coming days.
