Terms agreed: Arsenal close to deal for Spanish international defender
Arsenal are reportedly close to tying down another player to a new contract with claims by talkSPORT (via Mundo Deportivo) that Nacho Monreal will extend his stay with the club. The 29-year-old left-back played a key role in the Gunners' first-team last season, establishing himself as the new first choice for Arsene Wenger in that position, ahead of previous starter Kieran Gibbs. TalkSPORT claim that Monreal has agreed terms on a deal that will see his wages rise to around £75,000 a week, though this has not yet been officially confirmed.
