Mertesacker: Wenger has 'difficult questions'
The Gunners won the Community Shield on Sunday with a 1-0 win over Chelsea that was achieved without the absent Alexis Sanchez and the injured Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck, while Olivier Giroud and Mikel Arteta both came off the bench. Mertesacker said: "You can see we have a great squad, a deep squad. That means there will be some difficult questions for the manager to answer and for the team, how we can cope with the difficulties. "There will be disappointment in the squad.
