Arsenal's £45m ‘Benzema deal is on' after latest development, claims Guardian journalist
No secret has been made of our desire to sign Karim Benzema this summer (via the Express), but so far a deal is yet to materialise. The transfer is apparently close to completion though, with a journalist for The Guardian Emanuele Giulianelli reporting the news on Twitter (courtesy of the Daily Star). He has written for FourFourTwo, La Gazzetta dello Sport, and The Guardian, so at least has some level of credibility. We should perhaps take the rumours with a pinch of salt for the moment, but it's certainly worth keeping an eye on. Benzema deal is on: best offer is from Arsenal, £45mln.
