Wilshere boost: Wenger delivers injury update ahead of Liverpool clash
Arsene Wenger has delivered the latest news regarding our injury situation and revealed that midfielder Jack Wilshere is closing on a return, although he won't be back for Monday's clash against Liverpool (via Arsenal.com). Wilshere suffered a hairline fracture to his fibula on the eve of the Community Shield game against Chelsea and it was initially feared that he could face months on the sidelines (via The Independent). However, Wenger subsequently confirmed that further scans showed a more positive outlook on his injury and Wilshere is set to return at the beginning of next month (via BBC Sport).
