Arsenal scouts sent to watch Germany star Bender
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger sent his scouting team to watch Bayer Leverkusen star Lars Bender in action this week. The Gunners ran the rule over the dynamic midfielder during the Bundesliga side's first leg Champions League qualifying defeat against Lazio and were reportedly impressed enough to ponder a bid for the 26-year-old. And now it has been revealed by Tutto Mercato that Arsenal are lining up an offer in the region of £12m for the Germany international - who has four years left on his BayArena contract.
