World class striker set for Arsenal medical, but it's not Benzema
Karim Benzema has seemingly been our top target this summer, but we have also been strongly linked with Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani, as reported by the Daily Star. The report claims we are closing in on the latter, with the Uruguayan set to undergo a medical before the transfer window slams shut. The Star cites reports from Spain, which claim the striker is looking to force a move away from PSG. A lot was expected of Cavani when he made his big money move to the Ligue 1 Champions, and you'd argue he hasn't quite lived up to those expectations. He has still been superb for the French side though, especially considering he's largely been playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic...
