Steve McClaren Unsurprised Arsenal Wanted Florian Thauvin
It has been revealed that Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren isn't surprised Arsenal fancied his new signing Florian Thauvin. It is said that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a big fan of the winger. 'Yes. Most definitely (I can see why Arsenal were interested),' said McClaren. 'He has played at every level for France (up to 21s). He has got that pedigree. 'He has certainly got the ability, he is only 22. He has got huge potential. 'We are trying to bring players here who will excite the crowd. We are trying to find new heroes. Florian could be one of those types.'
