Arsenal star: I wanted Karim Benzema to arrive
Arsenal star Oliver Giroud has revealed that he was fully behind a potential move for his compatriot Karim Benzema, despite the fact that it would've probably resulted in him losing his position, Goal reports. Giroud was speaking while in France ahead of the international break, and the fact that he's mentioned the Real Madrid forward suggests that there was some movement behind the scenes. Benzema put an end to rumours last week through his Twitter page, claiming that Real Madrid was his home. He has since netted his first goal this season at the weekend after his return to the team.
