Arsenal defensive midfield target issues come and get me plea
Earlier this summer we were linked with a move for Southampton's Victor Wanyama, but the Kenyan insisted he was happy with the south coast club, as reported by the Mirror. Things look to have changed drastically in recent weeks however, with the former Celtic star apparently demanding an exit from St Mary's (via the BBC). We are badly in need of reinforcements in defensive midfield, with Francis Coquelin currently our only viable option. Wanyama certainly fits the bill of the powerful, dominant, tough tackling midfielder we've been missing, and could be an excellent option to have this season.
